Orange Biscuits Recipe

Fresh orange juice, grated rind of 1 large orange

Plain flour



Baking powder

Method :
  • Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the yolks, orange juice and rind, and continue beating to blend.
  • In another bowl, sift together the flour, cornflour, salt and baking powder. Add to the butter mixture and stir until it forms a dough.
  • Wrap the dough in greaseproof paper and chill for 2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 190oC/375oF/Gas 5. Grease two baking sheets. Roll spoonful of the dough into balls and place 2.5cm - 5cm apart on the baking sheets.
  • Press down with a fork to flatten.
  • Bake until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Using a palette knife, transfer to a wire rack to cool.
