Nut Lace Wafers Recipe

Ingredients : Makes 18 |

65 g

40 g
90 g
30 ml

Blanched almonds
Butter
Plain flour
Caster sugar
Double cream
Vanilla essence |
Method :
- Preheat the oven to 190oC/375oF/Gas
5. Lightly grease two baking sheets.
- With a sharp knife, chop the almonds
as finely as possible.
- Alternatively, use a food processor or
blender to chop the nuts very finely.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over a
low heat. Remove from the heat and stir in the remaining ingredients and
the finely chopped almonds.
- Drop teaspoonfuls 6cm apart on the
prepared sheets.
- Bake until golden, about 5 minutes.
- Cool on the baking sheets briefly,
just until the wafers are stiff enough to remove. With a palette knife,
transfer to a wire rack to cool.
