Maple Pecan Nut Brownies Recipe

Light soft brown sugar
Maple syrup

Self-raising flour
Pecan nuts, chopped
Plain chocolate chips
Unsalted butter

Method :
- Preheat the oven to 180oC/350oF/Gas
4. Line and grease a 25 x 18cm cake tin.
- Beat together the melted butter,
sugar, 60 ml of the maple syrup, eggs and flour for 1 minute, or until
smooth.
- Stir in the nuts and transfer to the
cake tin. Smooth the surface and bake for 30 minutes, until risen and
firm to the tough.
- Cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then
transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Melt the chocolate chips, butter and
remaining syrup over a low heat. Cool slightly, then spread over the
cake.
- Press in the pecan nut halves, leave
to set for about 5 minutes, then cut into bars.
