Coconut Macaroons Recipe

Plain flour


Desiccated coconut

Sweetened condensed milk

Vanilla essence

Method :
  • Preheat the oven to 180oC/350oF/Gas 4.
  • Grease two baking sheets.
  • Sift plain flour and salt into a bowl, then stir in desiccated coconut.
  • Pour in sweetened condensed milk. Add vanilla essence, stir from the centre to a thick mixture.
  • Drop the table spoonful of the mixture 2.5 cm/1 inch apart on the baking sheets.
  • Bake until golden brown, for about 20 minutes.
  • Cool on a wire rack.
